The reunion at Jeff Weiner's house this year got off to a, umm, blazing start, when Jeff lit a fire in the fireplace and managed to fill the house with smoke. The fire department came in response to an automatic alarm and clogged the street next to Jeff's house with lots of vehicles with flashing lights. Fortunately, smoke was the only problem. That, and the fact that a few people had trouble getting to the house because of all the emergency vehicles.
People were more relaxed about wearing face coverings, despite Jeff's request that we wear them. (Check the photos.)
We were more pro-active this year with respect to using Zoom, having sent out an invitation in advance, and Bob Brown, Arnie Budin, and Gail (Stern) Budin got to say hello. Maybe next year more of our far-flung classmates will be able to "drop in".
Speaking of next time, if we keep to scheduling these events on the third Saturday in October, the date would be October 21, 2023.
Thanks to the usual suspects for putting together a wonderful event that included a wide selection of food and an excessive selection of desserts, mostly brought by us.
